Shut me up

This is how our shutters look at the moment:

It's that grey that wood turns with exposure. With a bit of flaking paint. Recently I have been working on sanding down some of them, in preparation for some new paint. I like the old look, but there's actually little consistency: on the front facade, they're painted green, some look newer than others. Anyway, we've been considering what look we'd like to have.

Driving around this area is sort of like the picture above, so many colors people have gone with on so amny different houses. Including some which, in deference to the pure concept of taste, I have not shown here.

In February, Kepler has a school holiday for 2 weeks and we are talking about leaving the house and going somewhere. So we need to get the shutters done and up in order to secure it.
