Optimistic chatter
We talk and talk and talk.
We discuss what we'd do with this piece of the land, or how we would modify that part of the house. The remise especially is a big question mark: so much possibility. How would we arrange, organize, rehab, rebuild?
We've talked like this about houses we've seen before. Partly because potential is in itself stimulating. What could I make of this place? Partly because, as I learned studying philosophy, you must embrace a system and learn it as a believer in order to properly later reject it. But there's more to this optimism: I think we might buy this house. We both really like it.
Today we compiled a list of questions that need to be answered before we can consider signing. Lots of planning permission questions, specific to what we'd like to do. Some regional development questions, regarding what's planned to get built nearby. Some future investment questions, ie how much could we rent it for when we're not there. And also, we asked if we'd be allowed to erect a scaffold on the land designed for the purpose of traning stealth albino monkeys in the paramilitary arts. Because some considerations are the most important of all.
So now we wait and see what the answers are. This is getting exciting.
