Another one bites the dust

Two weeks in a row now.

Showed up for pizza night with "S", Inc., only to be told that another property we considered buying has been sold to someone else in the wake of our rejection. In this case, the terraced apartment in Lodeve which we came so close to plunking down cash on so long ago, was just sold to our current landlord, Billy.

Turns out his house is so continuously rented (like to us, for example) that he wanted a place to actually stay when he's here in town. So demanding.

But there's always that pang when someone buys something you didn't want, isn't there?

Alas. What to do but drink a lot of wine and eat some pizza?
